Emily Pankhurst held her meeting in the Unitied Secession Church in Waterside Street.
The first church on this site was built in 1780. The current church building was built in 1826 with seats for 690 people. In 1847 became the United Presbyterian church. In 1892 congigation moved to Clark Memorial. For a while it became a public hall. In 1913 it was converted to a cinema known as The Picture House and hosted the first very talky movie in Largs.
Today it is a warehouse and shop for Narducci Antiques and has appeared on day time TV a few times recently as a location for BBC show Bargin Hunt
